Carolyn Clifton | Chair, Ambition East Midlands

Social investment has enabled us to work with young homeless people on a much larger scale. It can potentially be a financial risk for boards so they need to have the information and confidence in order to assess that risk

Ambition East Midlands is funded through a Social Impact Bond (SIB), which is a 'payment-by-results' contract. Individual investors into the the Ambition East Midlands SIB are were also eligible for Social Investment Tax Relief, which is a tool organisations can use to help them attract investors by offsetting the risk.
